Web Design
One Seven One
This site is a television show review and opinions blog that was created as a personal project using the WordPress system. The design is a custom skin of the Maimpok theme and features a number of personalized plugins, notably the Weekly Schedule on the About page. The site also utilizes a special archives system and social media connections for user engagement.
One Seven One (Mobile)
This is a first attempt at a mobile site and was built using the Mobify building tools. Mobify handles modifying the WordPress backend for mobile devices and will automatically detect when a device is in use while the CSS is completely custom. The design is simple to navigate using touch screens and migrates all commenting and contact form capabilities.
Syllabus Institute
The Syllabus Institute is a WordPress-based site created as part of an internship with Intellidemia. It’s purpose is to be a database of industry-relevant information as well as a community for industry discussion. It also features a self-assessment survey created using the LimeSurvey software with a custom format, results, and styling to integrate fully with the site.
SuperFridge App (Wireframe)
This wireframe was created as final project for a graduate level course on human-computer interaction. It was developed after extensive user research and prototyping user interaction diagrams, OVID models, and activity analyses. The goal was for the app to help solve a common household problem, in this case, kitchen and food management.
Calendar Web App (Wireframe)
This wireframe was created as a two-person group project for a graduate level course on prototype production. It was designed after extensive user testing and developing use case scenarios. The goal of the application was to integrate calendar and schedule management with location-based alerts and check-in services such as FourSquare.
MANville Show
This site was created for the great guys behind the MANville podcast. It features a custom template based off of the Grow Your Business theme framework and integrates a number of podcasting features, such as direct downloads and PodBean streaming. The site also has social media sharing capabilities and a customized RSS feed for podcast streaming.
RPI GSAS Program
This site was started as part of a group project for an undergraduate design course but continued to be worked on afterwards for the RPI GSAS department. It’s a basic HTML/CSS structure with a few integrated Javascript elements that was intended to hook up with the RPI website’s custom backend. The design was ultimately not selected to go live, but was given high praise.
